Kids will explore art that celebrates winter in Part III of this fun class! Join us for all-new projects celebrating winter landscapes, animals, and snowy winter sports. Students will learn new techniques and ways of creating with traditional art materials. No two Art Exploration classes are ever the same!

Drawing and Painting Class continues with new techniques to enhance your artwork! The first 3 weeks of the class will focus on drawing, and the last 3 weeks will focus on painting. We will use pen, pencil, palette knife, sponges and other tools to add exciting details to your drawings and paintings. You will be surprised and delighted at the results! We will work on several exciting new projects in each session of this class, so no two sessions are ever alike.

Enhance your watercolor techniques and create stunning artwork! Discover various techniques and experiment with color mixing, texture, and brushwork to enhance your paintings. Students will learn on small canvases, then expand as they gain a better grasp of the medium.

Enhance your ability to draw and paint realistic-looking animals! We will show you tips and techniques to capture the essence of an animal and also show you how to paint fur, feathers, and scales. All animals can be broken down into basic shapes that will help you capture the proportions and outlines of any critter. 

Calling all Anime fans! Learn to draw your favorite characters and create new characters of your own. We will cover a broad range of skills such as facial and body proportions, and how to illustrate movement and facial expressions. Create your own comic strip and fill it with exciting drawings in this fun class!

Explore the painting media of your choice – this is your studio time. Work will be supervised and help will be given at the student’s own level. Instructor and student will discuss an initial plan and the instructor will help facilitate the student’s creativity. The instructor will help the student to brainstorm and introduce new methods and ideas as possible choices prior to beginning artwork. Depending on the student’s level and needs, guidance will be given to the students to help them organize a well-thought-out plan. Consideration will be given to composition, color, texture, perspective, shadow, and light. Ideal for students working on a portfolio or needing professional studio time.
