Week 5: Manga, Anime & Cartooning

Learn cartoon drawing techniques in this fun camp! We will show you how to draw your favorite cartoon characters as well as develop original characters of your own. This covers a broad range of skills such as facial and body proportions, and how to illustrate movement and facial expressions.
Week 5: Paint Your Pet

Ages: 6 - 15
Kids will have a great time learning how to paint their pets! They can choose an existing pet, or a pet that they would like to have. Take a close-up photo of your pet and bring an 8x10 copy to the first class if possible. Students who don’t have pets can look up their favorite pet online and we can print it in the studio. Techniques include breaking the image down into simple shapes and how to paint fur or feathers.
Week 6: Amazing Paper Arts: Quilling, Marbling, Papier Mache, and more.

Explore the possibilities of the amazing paper arts! Projects include quilling, origami, collage, marbling, papier mache and creating hand made paper and so much more!

Week 6: Mini Clay Characters & Setting

Let's create your favorite characters from movies, cartoons, or computer games! We will use clay and mixed media to create a miniature world for your characters. This class will incorporate basic STEAM learning to help design and create art!

Week 7: Painted and Dyed Fabric Arts

Kids will experiment with techniques such as batik, marbled fabric, Shibori, and painted or dyed fabric for home decor items and fashion design.
Week 7: Animal Paintings

Calling all animal lovers! Develop the techniques and skills you need to draw and paint your favorite animals. Learn how to create different types of fur, scales, and feathers, and apply it to animal paintings of your choice. Every animal can be broken down into simple shapes, helping young artists to understand body proportions and to draw and paint lifelike animals.
Week 8: Backyard Arts & Mosaics

Kids will create back yard arts such as fairy gardens, bird houses, mosaic stepping stones, macrame plant hangers, and other delightful crafts to place in your yard. You’ll be blown away by how whimsical and fun the results are!
Week 8: Fiber & Yarn Arts

Kids will have a blast in this camp doing fiber and yarn arts such as weaving, crochet, embroidery, sewing, and making beautiful dip-dyed macrame wall hanging.
