Adult Open Studio, Wednesdays June 10 - July 15, 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Calendar Jun 10, 2026 at 7 pm, runs for 8 weeks

Explore the painting media of your choice – this is your studio time. Work will be supervised and help will be given at the student’s own level. Instructor and student will discuss an initial plan and the instructor will help facilitate the student’s creativity. The instructor will help the student to brainstorm and introduce new methods and ideas as possible choices prior to beginning artwork. Depending on the student’s level and needs, guidance will be given to the students to help them organize a well-thought-out plan. Consideration will be given to composition, color, texture, perspective, shadow, and light. Ideal for students working on a portfolio or needing professional studio time.

Let's create your favorite characters from movies, cartoons, or computer games! We will use clay and mixed media to create a miniature world for your characters. This class will incorporate basic STEAM learning to help design and create art!

Week 7: Photography & Mixed Media

Explore photography in a whole new way! Campers learn basic photography skills and transform their images into creative mixed media artworks using collage, paint, drawing, and mixed materials. Through fun, hands-on projects, students experiment with layering, image manipulation, and personal storytelling. Perfect for young artists who love photos and creative expression--no experience needed!

Week 7: Animal Paintings

Calling all animal lovers! Develop the techniques and skills you need to draw and paint your favorite animals. Learn how to create different types of fur, scales, and feathers, and apply it to animal paintings of your choice. Every animal can be broken down into simple shapes, helping young artists to understand body proportions and to draw and paint lifelike animals.

Week 8: Backyard Arts & Mosaics

Week 8: Make Your Own Plushies

Design and sew your own stuffed animals! This involves tracing and cutting a variety of fabrics using patterns, sewing the pieces together, stuffing them, and adding details to create a soft, cuddly toy. You will love the results!
